DC Co-Founder and Rally Team Driver Ken Block is the new face of "Dirt 2!" Check out their site for a good video where he gets interviewed and has fun in the studio. In it Ken covers how his involvement in the game came to being, from his entry into the sport in 2004 and his relationship with his friend and mentor, the late great Colin McRae, to the honor of the invite to develop and lead the "Dirt 2" push.
Gamers that have seen or played the first "Dirt" know it's the best way to get the experience of off road rally racing -- drifting, sliding, jumping, and all. The game makers have taken that super realistic game-play precedent that you now expect from "Dirt" to a new level, making it even more like real rally car racing. That's thanks to technology leaps and further on-course research with the help of the best rally car racers in the world.
Almost more importantly, thanks to the involvement of Block, the game looks like it will be a lot funner to play. We all know Ken likes to use his rally car to do a lot more than race, like jump it huge and session snowboarding parks. That will definitely have a home in "Dirt 2."
The game, according to Ken, "... is very very realistic and very fun. And, I feel that "Dirt" fans will have a lot of fun with this one. It's a nice progression from what they played before."
